Welcome to More4Apps Project Wizard.
We have developed this tool in response to demand from Oracle Projects users for a simple way to load projects into Oracle Projects from Microsoft Excel.
Project Wizard uses AMG (Activity Management Gateway), an open interface to Oracle Projects. This Wizard is a close cousin to More4Apps Budget Wizard and Transaction Wizard (also for the Oracle Projects module) and shares the same look and feel.
It provides a high speed, robust Excel based interface for creating or maintaining projects. To support the update of existing projects a download facility is provided.
IMPORTANT
The worksheet will NOT operate properly without completing installation steps. Please read these before attempting to load the worksheet. Refer to Installation and Configuration Guide.
Features
All options are available on the seven toolbars. Double clicking in the worksheet also loads the relevant forms. Ten forms are available as follows:
- Selection of Template
- Project Header
- Project Classifications
- Key Members
- Task settings
- Transaction Controls
- Sub Projects
- Bill Rate overrides
- Asset Form
- Asset Assignment Form
You can create projects, update projects/templates, and download projects/ templates.
There are four upload options. You can upload a single record, a range of records, records for a selected Project or the entire sheet.
The program is flexible about the worksheet layout. You can move or delete unwanted columns. You can also have multiple sheets.
Available Data Fields
There are more than 50 possible fields to upload into the project header including descriptive flexfields, currency and tax codes, numerous date columns, and other sundry fields. Only the most frequently used and likely to be required columns are included in this product. This is of course our opinion, and if there is a data item you wish to upload and it is not on the sheet, please let us know and we can easily add it.
The same goes with tasks. There are 62 available fields for upload at the time of writing, from which we have selected the most popular.
Project Classifications and Key Members are completely covered, as are Transaction Controls and Sub Projects.

Trial Version
The trial version of this program is fully functional and has no time-out. It does however contain a limitation in order to protect our intellectual property, yet provide you with a product that you can test fully to evaluate its suitability for your purposes. It will only upload or update one project per login. It will require you to log in again for each subsequent upload. In the licensed product, this restraint is removed.
Other features including the forms and download are not constrained in the trial version at all.
