Sales Order Wizard

More4Apps have developed this program to allow you to load sales orders directly from an Excel spreadsheet. The Sales Order Wizard is very easy to use, and allows you to create an order using the minimum of information allowing your Oracle configuration to determine the rest. Of course, like all the other wizards, it will also accept information retrieved from other sources. Just about any file format can be loaded into Excel, then formatted, validated and loaded using this product.

  • Optional Data Entry form, which includes data validation and full list of values capability

  • Download order information directly from Oracle Order Entry to use as the basis for new orders or for order review
  • Submit the Orders from the spreadsheet toolbar and refresh the spreadsheet row with the Oracle Order defaults and return messages
  • Error messages are returned to the worksheet so there is no need to go into the Applications to check the import status
  • Make additional fields mandatory during validation and upload

Requires MS-Excel and Internet Explorer on the PC, otherwise no additional software or licenses required. Installation can be performed in a minute by your DBA. Runs on Excel 2000-2007 on any operating system. Connects to Oracle E-Business Suite releases R11i and R12 on any platform.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I lose support from Oracle if I allow this third party product to integrate with our database?
A: No. You would if this product wrote directly to the application's base tables. Sales Order Wizard, however, uses the supported public API procedure Oe_Order_Pub.Process_Order. This use is supported by Oracle and consequently you do not jeopardise your support agreement.

Q: Do I need any other software to use this product?
A: No. If you have Microsoft Excel and Internet Explorer on the PC, you have all the other software you need.
