A global financial services company with thousands of employees and over 50 offices worldwide.
The Challenge
Ahead of an Oracle Cloud ERP migration, the company needed to clean up legacy data, fixing incorrect, missing, and redundant values along with unprintable characters. Using SQL, they uncovered thousands of special characters, duplicate records, and missing values. But identifying the issues was only half the battle. FBDI would require costly IT customization and extensive training that risked delaying the project, and manual cleanup would be even slower and more error-prone.
The Solution
Since 2015, the company had used the More4apps EBS Toolbox as their Excel-based data loading solution, and staff were already comfortable with it. By utilizing the Customer, Supplier, and Projects Wizards, the team downloaded and merged records to eliminate duplicates, replaced poor or missing data, and cleared unprintable characters, all within Excel.
The Results
