When RCI Europe needed faster, more accurate Oracle EBS data loading across its global business, it partnered with More4apps to leverage 20+ years of Oracle expertise.
The Client
RCI Europe, a major player in the hospitality industry managing over 4,300 affiliated properties across 11 countries, with a substantial Accounts Payable function shaped by the complexity of membership and payment processing.
The Challenge
As Systems Architect Ben Pentelow prepared to migrate RCI Europe from JD Edwards to Oracle R12, he faced an immediate question: “How are we going to get all this data into the new system?” RCI Europe had used Web ADI downloads for GL data, but no equivalent existed for AR, AP, fixed assets, or cash management.
RCI’s US headquarters recommended More4apps to support the migration and simplify data processes. The European team quickly purchased perpetual licenses for nearly the entire EBS Toolbox. “This has been the best investment ever,” Pentelow said.
The Solution
Using the More4apps AP Invoice Wizard and Application Interface Wizard, RCI Europe found that building new interfaces, once a daunting task, became straightforward. When the company requested changes to existing templates, More4apps delivered updates quickly, keeping pace with quarterly Oracle release cycles.
RCI Europe also faced trouble with custom load scripts while migrating legacy AP supplier data, and against tight deadlines, switched to the More4apps Supplier Wizard for an efficient, flawless transition.
Pentelow used a generic Application Interface Wizard to load bank statement data directly into cash management tables, enabling automatic bank reconciliation, without relying on an expensive, inflexible solution built by external consultants. This saved the company significant money while keeping full control of its processes in-house.
The Results
More4apps supported RCI Europe’s full migration of its European, Middle Eastern, and African operations to Oracle R12, keeping the project on track throughout. Pentelow continues to build new processes and improvements using the More4apps EBS Toolbox suite:
