An international cruise line headquartered in the US, operating a fleet of 20+ ships serving millions of guests annually.
The Challenge
As the cruise industry rebounded post-pandemic, cost scrutiny intensified. Manual purchasing and receiving data entry in Oracle E-Business Suite was labor-intensive and error-prone, leading to regular under- and over-stocking and recurring delays closing the books on time.
The Solution
After seeing More4apps succeed with two sister brands under the same parent company, the cruise line adopted several EBS Toolbox tools to replace manual purchasing processes:
- The Requisition Wizard to quickly download, edit, and reuse requisition data for new ship orders
- The PO Receiving Wizard to rapidly create advance shipment notice data for large PO receipts
- The PO Wizard to download and edit POs from one ship for use on the next, shortening purchasing turnaround
Implementation was fast, with minimal training and no need for technical resources or customization.
The Result
Data loading now requires less labor with far greater accuracy and governance.
