Arby’s Restaurant Group Inc., now part of Inspire Brands, a major restaurant company managing vendor relationships and procurement across its operations.
The Challenge
Arby’s initially used the More4apps Purchase Order Wizard from the EBS Toolbox, letting the Purchasing team create and modify standard POs in bulk directly in Excel, importing flat files or reusing older data without IT involvement.
As Arby’s prepared to migrate to Oracle ERP Cloud, the company found its options for user-friendly bulk PO loading were limited. Its IT team had been using Oracle’s File-Based Data Integrator (FBDI), which, despite offering templates for faster entry, fell short of Arby’s data processing goals. FBDI was slow, required technical expertise, and split each PO across four separate worksheets, with no real-time interaction, validation, or feedback.
The Solution
More4apps built the ERP Cloud Toolbox Procurement Module to deliver faster, error-free Oracle ERP Cloud purchase order processing with significant time and cost savings. The team knew this Excel-based, mass-loading solution needed to work with Oracle’s evolving Cloud architecture and Oracle’s REST and SOAP web services, laying the foundation for future Cloud products.
More4apps partnered closely with Arby’s throughout the transition, easing the shift from Java-based Oracle EBS forms to the new Cloud forms interface and eliminating the need for extensive retraining.
The Results
