UK Oracle User Group (UKOUG) has revealed the winners of this year’s Partner of the Year Awards. The awards provide recognition to UKOUG Partners for the contribution that they make by offering their services to Oracle users.
The winners are decided exclusively by Oracle customers to portray a true reflection of the view of the community and recognise the value that partners bring to end-users.
“The strength of the UKOUG Partner of the Year Awards is that the partners are voted for by Oracle end-users. They are all about who is doing a great job for their customers” said Neil Chandler, a representative from the UKOUG Board. The awards ceremony took place online on 9 December at the end of UKOUG’s online virtual conference and awards were presented by Paul Sinton-Hewitt CBE, founder of Parkrun.
Shortlisted organisations with the highest number of votes were awarded either bronze, silver, or gold
More4apps for the 2nd year running has been awarded the UKOUG ISV Partner of the Year Gold award. “We are delighted to receive this award, it is a testament to our team based over in the United Kingdom and is especially meaningful as this is voted by customers and shows More4apps commitment to providing exceptional service and products,” said John O’Keeffe CEO, More4apps.s
“We are a small, family-like team which allows us to be flexible and dynamic. People find us approachable and are keen to share their experiences of working with Oracle: they have trust in our expertise to help them resolve their issues” said Gareth Swales, Regional Sales Manager for the United Kingdom.
The winning team consists of Gareth, Andrew Gooch, Bobby Bragg, Sue Carey, Simon Hallet and Lily Mazieres. With 2020 being a challenging year of lockdowns due to Covid-19 the UK team adapted and thrived.
“All things considered, 2020 has been a pretty good year for us. Obviously, Covid-19 changed the way we had to work, but we focused on ensuring our team connection was strong by organizing 2 team meetings a week, one dedicated to business, one for socializing and maintaining our invaluable team spirit us working from home full-time,” said Gareth.
The United Kingdom managed to achieve its best sales results for 5 years. Gareth puts this down to the team understanding the challenges other companies faced with the shift to working from home as More4apps is a global company with remote home-based workers in many places.
“Many companies took the “downtime” to analyze their current processes and search for tools to improve them: many turned to More4apps.”
Long term the team believes the impact of 2020 has been positive enabling them to improve their ability to work as an efficient team and to continue to achieve great results – even if they are still required to be physically apart.
