EAM provides a holistic view of an organization’s physical assets and infrastructure throughout their entire lifecycle, from design, commission, or procurement, through to operation, maintenance, disposal, and replacement.
A key part of EAM is the upkeep of assets. Much of the work is preventative maintenance, no different to you get oil changes on your car on a regular basis. Use the Preventative Maintenance loader to set up and change schedules quickly and easily from Excel.
However any EAM system must also allow for one-off unexpected work due to fatigue or a less than optimal product due to age or design. This is where the EAM work order functionality is critical, allowing a user to create multiple work orders on the fly to repair and refurbish the companies assets. All work is tracked and accounted for; from employee hours to spare parts used on the work order.
